Survey response: Speed scoping Exercise
Hello Resident
Following up on Community Concerns, PCSOs have carried out a speed scoping exercise today on Marlas Road in Pyle.
100 vehicles were scoped over a 40 minute period with the average speed being recorded at 23.5mph.
Further scoping sessions will be carried out at this location before recordings are sent off to the Go Safe Safety Camera Partnership for consideration of deployment of the mobile speed camera van.
Go Safe receives numerous requests from communities and individuals asking for speed enforcement on their roads which are not approved camera sites. Requests for enforcement are made by concerned people who fear that speeding traffic in their area will eventually result in a collision or casualty. If you have a concern about speeding in your community please visit www.gosafe.org/report/community-concern to complete the relevant form.
